ELD ADOPTION SURVEY RESULTS
(The Next polling data will be added by April 16, 2018 by 2pm CST.)
RESULTS AS OF: 4/16/2018
ELD compliance rates since the final April 1st deadline has remained at 97%. This matches the polling results of the final week heading into the mandate.
The three week moving average pushed up two more points to 95%.
All the ELD deadlines have now come and gone. The chaos most expected hasn't materialized. Capacity is still tight, but the market is adjusting rather smoothly.
One of these market adjustments is the changing behavior of shippers. ELDs will continue to force shippers to focus on becoming more and more efficient not only on the dock, but throughout their entire supply chain.
Over the past week Walmart has relaxed their deadlines as vendors have lost control over the timings of their shipments, Bloomberg, Walmart Relaxes Deadlines for Some Deliveries Amid Driver Crunch.
The Journal of Commerce has put together a great 12 step guide for shippers looking to become a "shipper of choice". The infomatic is linked below, and it is fantastic content to send out to your customers.
